Fiction to Pass the Time...

Chapter XXXII
The travelers make their way to the infamous inn, where Sancho had been tossed about, and enter for rest and a meal; and while Quixote lies down to rest, the remaining sit down to eat with the innkeeper, his wife, their daughter, and Maritornes.  Meanwhile, the group discusses Quixote’s madness due to the books of chivalry, and the innkeeper reveals that he immensely enjoys reading those books, and has a few himself, although the curate argues that they “are all fiction invented by…idle brains…to pass the time.”
