The Golden Helmet

Chapter XXI

Quixote, who took an oath to find the golden helmet of Mambrino, the Saracen king, thinks he sees someone wearing it on his head and sets off to retrieve it, frightening the owner away after he willingly gave up the object of Quixote’s desire.  Unfortunately, the man was only a barber and the helmet his basin, although Quixote is content to believe the helmet had only been altered; and afterward Quixote and Sancho imagine and discuss their futures as a king and a count, respectfully.
